Track record

Numbers from wells that have already been drilled.

Rate of penetration against offset baselines, sand ratios and pump rates from named wells, and the mining groups that have taken delivery. Fifteen years of it, and the standard we hold ourselves to in Indonesia.

These are our results. The work was executed out of our Chengdu engineering base, and the same teams, designs and methods are what PT DHK brings to an Indonesian well. We list the wells and the operators by name so the numbers can be checked rather than taken on trust.

Drilling and wellbore surveying

What the bits did, in wells with names.

Rate of penetration measured against offset well baselines on the same programme, not against a theoretical figure.

01 · Premium PDC bits

In the Yunyongye-1 well, micro coring PDC bits were run through limestone interbedded with chert nodules and increased the rate of penetration by four to five times. In the salt and gypsum sections, eccentric PDC designs held off borehole convergence and raised ROP by 109%.

In wells Ning 209H4-2 and Ning 209H20-5, the deployed bits came in 47.8% to 50.9% above the offset well baselines, cutting total drilling time on the section.

02 · Continuous gyroscopic surveying

The proprietary integrated continuous gyro delivers wellbore positioning accuracy equivalent to the international Keeper class systems.

It is the only service in China qualified for offshore high precision continuous survey work. In 2024 it completed more than a dozen difficult offshore survey operations for CNOOC.

Application at scale

Sand control and stimulation across a thousand wells.

Commercialised in 2018 and deployed in more than a thousand well interventions since, holding sand control integrity and lifting post intervention production.

Sebei Gas Field

Quaternary formations with an average argillaceous content of 36.9%, fine grain sizes and a standing tendency to produce sand. The conditions that make gravel packing difficult are the conditions this technology was built for.

Zhundong Oilfield

Brownfield stimulation campaigns that returned declining wells to commercial flow, including two wells brought back to sustained daily oil production after intervention.
